tropical

alternative text

**I've been back from Italie for a while now, but I had this outfit post from my trip that I still wanted to share.

I absolutely love this. I was never into the kimono style, and it even took me a while to like the whole tropical print trend. There's just something about this blazer/cardigan/kimono "thing" that takes your mind away to a tropical paradise, just laying in a hammock under the palm trees, reading a book. (or vogue!!) Just imagine the sound of the wind through the leaves and the waves on the beach.

I didn't have the time or the money for a trip at a beach resort in Bora Bora, so I guess it's a somewhat cheaper alternative! I'll settle for a beach towel in the grass... and the relaxing sound of the pool filter.

Who could notice the difference?

Sorrento - Italia

alternative text

I found my new favourite place.

We took a four day trip to Sorrento, in the south of Italy. I was seduced by it's beauty... Gorgeous views of the Mediterranean, charming old buildings, beautiful art work and fun little street shopping! I also love people watching, no matter where I am, so I always find it even more interesting when I have the chance to be somewhere so far from home. (And may I mention how good the Italians looked ?! Haha)

After checking in at our hotel and dropping off our heavy bags, what better way to finally relax than lunch at a fancy little Italiano ristorante?
I regret not taking a picture of our exquisite dishes, but my stomach was in too much of a hurry for that. I can say that it was delizioso.

We spent our first evening enjoying the view and the sunset.

The small fishing village by the water was a perfect place to spend an afternoon. Fish n' Chips at a cute little beach side restaurant, enjoying the hot sun.

cream

I just arrived to Switzerland a few days ago, visiting my parents who are spending a year here.

This afternoon we went for a walk in St-Sulpice, the town I am staying in (near Lausanne). We stopped to have a little espresso allongé and enjoy the beautiful day and view of france across lac Léman.

Feeling particularly feminine today, I liked the polished look of a classic blazer, along with the laid back look of a boxy cut. And what better occasion for mixing light creamy colours than the start of a spring vacation?

I was so exited the other day when I got my studs in the mail!

I spent the afternoon putting them everywhere only to find that 200 of them wasn't enough! I plan on covering my denim vest completely (or at least the shoulders!) and maybe doing another cross on another pair of shorts or pants.

It's very easy to do at home and also allot less pricy than buying the brand name ones that are so expensive.

There's something about black chiffon.

I'm in love with this skirt, and I'm even more in love with my new denim jacket that I picked up in the little boys section at my local thrift store! I already chopped the sleeves off and plan on covering it with studs (getting a little impatient here, I ordered them weeks ago! DIY on that soon)
